I'm Avery D. Wilson, a choreographer, performer, coach, and speaker based in New York City. Over more than twenty years, my work has moved through many stages, film sets, and classrooms. Today I bring that range into coaching and speaking rooted in craft, faith, and honest self-work — helping artists build careers that last.
A Career On Stage & Screen
From training and touring with Debbie Allen, dancing at the LIDO in Paris, to appearing on screen in films including Queen & Slim and BOLDEN, I’ve been blessed with a diverse experience of arts and entertainment. I've held national titles, directed choreography, and coached from the studio to the university. This section gathers that history in one place.

How We Begin
Every working relationship starts with a conversation. First we talk — about where you are, what you're reaching for, and what's getting in the way. From there I map a simple path, blending movement, reflection, and practical coaching to fit you. Then we work, session by session, adjusting as you grow. No rigid formula — just steady, honest progress at a pace you can hold.
A Second-Mountain Season
Southern-born and shaped by the stage, I founded MOKA XLR-8, taught English and dance in Louisiana classrooms, and carried the arts into leadership and policy work. My first mountain held titles, television, and years on stage, and I'm grateful for all of it. This season is quieter. Shaped by faith, prayer, and honest self-inquiry, my work now sits where movement, story, and soul-work meet.
