Avery D. Wilson has been named Baton Rouge’s 2016 MLK Leadership Award Honoree for Arts & Culture. This esteemed honor comes after 13 remarkable years of artistic service in the Greater Baton Rouge Area and truly acknowledges Wilson’s presence as an accomplished artist and devoted community servant. One of his most accomplished students, Infiniti Eaglin (Sophomore Modern Dance Major, University of Oklahoma) rendered a solo performance of one of his most recent contemporary choreographic works (Rise Up) as a special tribute.
